Grandma got on the topic of age while i was there yesterday. At one point she said, "You aren't 60 yet!" and i answered i will be next month. She gave me the side eye and said, "I'm not supposed to have a daughter that old!"

"Soon you be goin' have trouble wit' you joints when you go to dancin', Boudreaux!" say Thibodeaux.
An' Boudreaux say, "Mais! My joints be fine, but de joints I likes to dance in all done been raided by de police!"

Years ago, we did 'Night in Bethlehem' around Christmastime in our church. It was the most fun I've ever had! Of course, my family got into it in a big way. Husby and I ran the 'dreidel' gambling joint. Our eldest son and his wife, just expecting their first, were Joseph and Mary. Another son was a Roman Centurian conscripting all the young boys into the army. One daughter was helping out at the 'whinery' pouring grape juice, and our youngest two were lepers. It was quite an experience, especially for them. Some people gave freely. Some people chased them out with a broom!
