Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Grandpa had left for a meeting yesterday and i was tempted to stay late and visit with Grandma but we agreed he wouldn't be happy if he found out.
"Would he pitch a conniption?" Grandma asked.
He just might, i noted and she asked, "What is a 'conniption'? What does it look like? Is it in the dictionary?"
I looked up "conniption" and read several definitions, most of which boiled down to a fit of rage, anger or fear.
Grand-mère Boudreaux done be watching Tee Boudreaux an' Tee done t'ink dat mean she be goin' spoil him an' give him what hims Mère done say he cain't have dat day.
Well, Grand-mère done tole him, "You Mère done say, non, not today, so it be non."
An' Tee, he commence him to whoop an' holler an' cry, an' Grand-mère say, "Tee, it not goin' work!"
An' Tee done stop an' look at her an' say, "Mais, den what will work, Grand-mère?"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
Outdoors, indoors, a funny birthday card, a giant mushroom, and sky shots.
"I can't eat that, I'm a vegan." "Has that fish been tested for mercury?" "Is that bread gluten-free?" |

*In several interviews, Satchmo claimed to have been born on July 4, 1900. Historians always disputed that claim, saying it was too neat and tidy, and his baptismal records, found in a church basement, proved otherwise. Some biographies still give the July 4, 1900 date in error.
Celeste looks like a genteel lady. I bet the original Jesus didn't hear those complaints. I like the indoor/outdoor photos, love those beautiful floors.
ReplyDeleteLove that card. The mushroom is HUGE and your skyscapes delightful.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos had a terrific card. That made me smile this Sunday morning.
ReplyDeleteReally love the last 4 sky scapes. Often it is the small things that catch the eye in a room, this time the rooms look well balanced and the artwork is lovely and the colours else where muted and harmonious.
ReplyDeleteA happy selfie Sunday to Celeste, who looks like she has a great spot for a nap and keeping her eyes on the goings on...
