Door Hinging (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins and Nature Friday

***********************************

Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.

He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.

Feline Friday is simple to join.  All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute).  Then add your link!

One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do.  So come and join us in Feline Friday.

What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!

"As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed." Proverbs 26:14, KJV

My Sweetie has always called lying in bed late on those days when you don't have to get up and be somewhere, "door hinging," and the above quote is the reason.  It doesn't happen often with the people in this house, but the cats have door hinging down to a science, as demonstrated by Tripod SissyCat and Link Linker the Stinker.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I _________ daylight savings time.

2. This month, I plan to _________.

3. _________ gives me nightmares.

4. Now that _________, it's time to _________.

1. I   detest and loathe  daylight saving time.   Not the time, so much, just the changing of it.  It's illogical, foolish, bad for our health, proven to cause problems, and many countries have done away with it.  Time for us to all pick a time and stick with it, thankyouverymuch.

2. This month, I plan to   work, visit with Bigger Girl when she comes to see everyone, and when the time comes, drive to NOLA, cook a meal, serve a meal and clean up from a meal all in one day.

3. Politics  gives me nightmares.

4. Now that   it's November,  it's time to   start enjoying some cooler weather, if the weather will cooperate!

Nature Friday is hosted by LLB in Our Backyard Simply post a picture of the natural world, and link up!

  2. They have relaxing down to a fine art. I agree 100% with #1 and #3.

  3. I love your fill-ins, and agree on the first three of them. AllSaint's day ... when we lived in Germany, we lived in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony, I think), there today, all Saint's day, was a holiday for Catholic children, and yesterday, reformation day, was a holiday for the evangelical children. As the populaion there is mixed, it was a great way of doing it ... I just wonder what the teachers did.

  4. Mom isn't good at staying in bed and doing nothing as there is always too much to do. The kitties do look pretty comfy, though. Every time we change time, everyone wants to end it but then it is forgotten until the next time change. It is the most ridiculous, useless thing that needs to go. Pick one time and stick with it, we say!

  5. We love to see them all so relaxed, and the names always make us smile, Mimi😸😸We agree with #1, so let's make our own time...which we already have...MOL...Double Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞

  6. I agree with you completely about time changing. It messes humans up terribly. And politics, why can't people be honest hardworking employees of our government. Love the kitties in bed.
