Hurts Both Ways (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Frequently the topic of food comes up at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Specifically, Grandma wants to order something delivered from a restaurant, and it has to be something with no spicy heat at all.  We joke you can't even look at the pepper shaker when preparing her food.

Meanwhile, Uncle J and i love spicy dishes, so sometimes we have to find a place with spice but which will leave it out for her.

Thibodeaux done ax Boudreaux if he done gone to town to try de new Thai restaurant.  "Dey say de food dere be mo' spicy dan Grand-mère's gumbo!"

An' Boudreaux say, "No, I ain't done try it yet, but if it be dat spicy, I may not.  Much as I love me some hot food, mais! I don' wan' it bein’ so hot it hurt on de way out!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.        

Mostly sky shots, a couple of pretty artworks near a sitting nook, door wreaths/hangers which are a bit blurry because i have to take them from a distance and crop them, and an attempt to photograph a bee.  Also, a picture of Ms. JAI's famous hat, on a lamp.

The hat is actually purple, although it looks red right on top of this lampshade.
