Letting Go the Sugar, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Carl is supposed to be cutting down on sugar.

He's trying.  He got rid of a lot of stuff, and let his mom take some to our ladies' circle meeting last week.

Since he did have work today, i got in and got started while he napped in the sleep chair.  He came in at one point and i asked what was up.

"Brush, brush," he simply said, and then went for his toothbrush.  Once done, he told me, "Please don't let me sleep past 9:05."

I am always amused by the precise and yet random times he sets to get up.

He also has unique ways of hanging up clothes, and of getting them near but not in the laundry bin.  He has a "toss toward the hamper and it lands where it lands" technique.

I also found this in his room, almost as dangerous as the super glue i found and confiscated last week.

He did get up when i woke him, precisely on time, and went straight to the shower.  For once, he didn't argue about the clothing i'd put in there for him, nor did he change any of it after the shower.  Will wonders never cease.

Once Carl was ready for breakfast and i was packing his meal for work, he chattered away.

"Church was good," he told me, then talked about a movie, and a few other things.

"Had fun this weekend," he continued.  It seems when his brother asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he said, "To go to a movie with you!"  So his brother drove in just to take him to the movie.

He also spent time with friends and the girl he's sweet on.

Then his father walked in and he told him, "This cereal is kind of bland."

He was eating this.  Then he added something.

"That's better," he said.

I just finished packing his food for work and didn't comment.  Getting processed sugar out of his life is not going to happen, at least not totally.

Meanwhile, the laundry was going -- dryer ball count is down to 3 this week, from last week's high of five -- and all of a sudden Ms. V was up.

After greeting her, i asked why she was up so early and she said, "His car is not running right so I have to take him to work and get his car to the shop."  Then she turned to Carl and said, "Did you clean the car?"

"Working on it," he said, then spent the rest of his time before work going in and out with upholstery cleaner and the hand vacuum, leaving the back door open each time.

Ms. V truly believes you get better service at the shop if your car is clean, it shows you care about your car.  I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it gets Carl to clean out his car by dumping everything into his room.  Oh, joy.

Right before she left, Ms. V asked me about this blanket.

"Where did this come from?" she asked.  "No one in our family has these initials."

I told her i had no clue, but the blanket as been around their house as long as i've been there, Carl has been using it for years.

"I have never noticed it before!" she said.

It mostly stays in his room, i mumbled.  Where he got the mystery blanket no one knows, but it's been there over ten years.  Yes, really.

This is new,  however.

Sunday school for special needs adults must be moving on to Valentine's Day.

How about some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

  3. Mom always feels bad as our car is pretty furry inside since we pups are always going somewhere. Yes, we have seat covers but fur is still all over. She too tries to clean it up a bit before taking it in for service.
