Memory Lane (Six Sentence Story) and Good Fences

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

"What's Dad doing over there, grinning like he won the lottery?"

"He's taking a trip down memory lane, looking at pictures from our honeymoon."

"See how great your Mom looked in a swimsuit, hubba-hubba!"

"Ewwww, I didn't need to hear that!"

"What do you mean, ewww, your Mom was and still is the prettiest woman around!"

"Okay, okay, Mom's beautiful, now will you two quit kissing in front of us kids!"

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Trip.

Gosia, of Looking for Identity, has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

We are seeing this more and more around here, automatic gates with solar panels on the side, and i like that.

  3. I only want to pause the world if I get to step away while it's on hold. If I have to sit there and think about how it will be starting up again in a few minutes, there's really no point...

  4. Mimi,

Strolling down memory lane through old photos is an excellent way to make one smile. I love looking a family pictures, especially of those when our children were small. I also love seeing really old family photos, especially of DH's parents when they were very young. Their expressions are so much different than later in life. Raising kids and the many the worries that come with the parenting job, finances, jobs, ... had to be a big part of why they seldom wore smiles when photographed. Nice job with SSS prompt!

  7. I loved your " Six Stories ". I thought about me and my wife. I remember my wife on our first vacation in Freeport and her in orange bikini. Hubba hubba and at 70 years old, she can wear that bikini and she's still hubba, hubba. See ya Mimi.
