Safe (Feline Friday) and Friendly Fill-Ins

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

At the shelter, Sweetie was worried about this cat:

Trixie.  If you get her at the correct angle, she looks like she swallowed a bowling ball.

This gives you a better idea.

getting out of this open window:

Somehow, i think she is safe from that eventuality.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. The last time I ____________was ____________________.

2. __________________isn’t ___________________.

3. _________ is a blessing in disguise.

4. My favorite word is _________.

1. The last time i went on a vacation to any place except Florida or Texas was at least 3 years ago (maybe more, i’m not good with remembering dates).  Maybe sometime next year we can go someplace else.

2. Knowledge isn’t wisdom.  As Bigger Girl once noted, knowledge is knowing that botanically speaking tomatoes are fruit, wisdom is not putting them in the fruit salad.

3. Almost anything that happens is a blessing in disguise if you know how to look at it.

4. My favorite word is grace.

  4. My dad swore that the games at Loon Mountain were the best. I'm less picky, as long as there are men in kilts, carrying cabers.
    ;-p

  5. I'm sure that kitty will not get out that window. I'm positive.

I love all your fill-in and tomatoes don't go in a fruit salad at all.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ❤

  8. Trixie is so pretty! I just love calicoes. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I adore how you answered #2. I never would have thought tomatoes could be such good teachers of knowledge and wisdom. Have a wonderful weekend!

  11. Mimi,

Trixie reminded me of this poor ole goat. The new owner of DH's boyhood home has this poor ole goat who's stomach actually drags the ground. It looks like the thing is dragging a bowling ball around. I have no idea whats wrong with the critter but it bothered me to see such a sight. The goat was friendly and came right up to me several times. I had no idea that female goats had horns. Anyhow, I hope Trixie stays safely indoors. :)

Knowledge is not wisdom. Very good observation on Bigger Girl's part. ;)

    Have a good weekend!

  12. Meow and yes to #3! Our Female Human keeps a jar on the hallway cabinet with little pieces of paper next to it.She'll write something she's thankful for and put it in the jar. At the end of the year, she reads all the little notes she put in there and she's always amazed at how much joy there is in little daily things.

    Oliver
