Safe (Six Sentence Story), Iron (Good Fences), Mess! (Sammy's Poetry Day), and Sunshine (Brian's Thankful Thursday)

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

"There's no escape!" he said, grinning at her.

She shrieked and dodged, and he leaned over toward her.  With one arm he scooped her up, laughing as her shrieks turned to howls.

Tossing her in the air "like a little sack o' taters" as he always said, he caught her and then turned her upside down, tickling her tummy.

Flipping her upright, they were both breathless for a moment.

As soon as he set her down, however, she was ready to dodge again, challenging him, "Do it again, Daddy!"

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Escape.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

A nice iron fence:

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day!  This week's image and my poem:

I’m really having a time
With eating big kid food
Sometimes I get it right,
If I am in the mood,
But sometimes i just have to
Let food land where e’er it goes,
If you think this is a mess just don’t
Look between my toes!

(When Bigger Girl was about this age, she really did look this messy once, and how she got the broccoli that was also a part of the meal between her toes i will never understand!)

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.

This week i am thankful for sunshine, whenever it appears!
