Drama, Drama, Drama, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Tell me, when do adults grow out of this?

A few weeks ago, on a discussion board website i help moderate, someone sent me a PM asking if i was also the moderator of a chat room on a completely different site.  Well, i am not the moderator of any chatroom anywhere, and i told the person that, no, i am not.

The person in question did not want to believe me, and the resulting conversations seemed about on the level of the above.  Eventually i was believed, but it felt like i was back in the fourth grade having a playground argument!

Meanwhile, anybody want key drama?

While borrowing #2 Son's car, Happy the Honda, somehow his key went missing.  With it went my key to Lunceford the Land Yacht, the Jalopy, and my house key.  We have spares of the latter 3, but not of the former.

Searches were made.  Hair was pulled out.  #2 Son claimed Daughter-in-Law Becky had a spare.  She said she did not, and it turned out the "spare" was a broken piece of a key that opens the door but will not start the vehicle.

Calls were made, dealerships said, "Have it towed in so we can make a key for you!" Finally a locksmith who will come out and make a key for you was located.

An appointment was set, and when i finally finished work for Dr. D (an adventure in itself), i flew home to meet the locksmith.

Five minutes before he showed up, guess what i found?

Another key was made anyway, as i am not going through this again.

While i was at work, Sweetie took care of a couple of errands and then called to say, "I'm finished, and now I'm bored!"

Do you want to come do my job? i asked him.  He's heard about my job.

"I will never be that bored!" he said.

The good news is that Dr. D is finally finished with that grant writing for her cousin, and we can get back to the normal mayhem instead of the hyped up mayhem.

Or at least, as normal as it ever gets around here, which is to say, not very.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, productive, and enjoyable Tuesday!

  1. Of course they key turned up at the last minute. That's the way these things go. As for the "yes you are, no I'm not" thing, I would have hung up after the first "no I'm not". Guess that makes me an adult.

  2. Echoing River. I might have stuck my tongue out as I hung up too.

  3. I too realized that the things we looked for always seemed to turn up at the last minute. I like the pictures you chose for this posts, especially the "Hallelujah!" Lol!

  4. I am well prepared for the feast - stocked up on veggies and low on cash. Perhaps I should swing by that World's Fair...?

  5. Mom loses the house key now and then. Usually, she throws it into the closet with a leash, or in the poop bin with a bag of poop, but it sends her into a panic for a short time. Once and a while, it is found still in the door on the outside...real safe!

  6. One day I lost my car keys. Later I wondered why I was looking all over the place for them while I was holding them in my hand. Some days.

  7. Oh my goodness. Losing keys scares me so much. I'm so happy that you finally found them Mimi. Have a great Tuesday.

  8. Your mayhem is exactly one step ahead of mine. I always find the keys AFTER the visit of said keymaker. Sigh.
P.S. It's wonderful to find another family who names their cars. And I must admit yours are infinitely more creative than ours: Zippy. The Beast. Vanya. Yeah. Those.

  11. Ah yes, the "where is the key THIS time" saga. I don't know how you manage not to be in the fetal position, rather often! I hope that your drama with the Doctor gets less, but still enough to write about! Wink!!

  15. Crazy how people can be insistent you are or do something when you don't! C.R.A.Z.Y.

That shall go down as the Great Key Debacle of 2019! LOL! Glad you found the key (Murphy's Law likes to make his presence known) but smart getting another key made anyway - you know, to save the hair pulling mode. ;)

Funny how people - kids or hubbys - will suddenly not be 'that' bored when you offer to let them do alllll the things you do. ;)
