Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Every Sunday morning, there is a catnip fest among the downstairs cats, and after, there is a snooze fest so they can sleep it off:

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. She and Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey take turns providing a theme each week. Charlotte/Mother Owl almost always participates, too. This week the theme is Friends.
Thank you, friends
For all the cheer
For not mentioning when
I’m looking bigger in the rear
For laughing when
I tell a lame joke
For enjoying cheap fun
When we all are broke
For not letting me leave the house
Looking like a clown
For sticking together
Not letting each other down
For being there during
Times of sorrow
For reminding me that
There’s always tomorrow
Thank you, friends
For all you do,
And thank you most
For being you.

None of our cats have ever shown the remotest interest in catnip.
ReplyDeleteLove your poem. Friends are an essential, including those we will never meet.
I think people should change every day; otherwise they and their clothes begin to smell.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Nice cool weather for cat naps. Good friends are few but they are there for us. Happy new week.
ReplyDeleteTank you for your poetry and your never failing presence.
ReplyDeleteOur cat bro Bert is a nip head. He gets some almost daily and then wanders around meowing for a while.
ReplyDeleteAww! I wanna join their fests heheh! :-)
ReplyDeleteI liked the quote too a nice gesture to her :-)
Have a safetastic day 😷😷😷
Mimi,
ReplyDeleteI'd like to laze around like these kitties! Oh, I like your poem - nice job!! I have two doctor appointments. I found out this morning that my GYN decided last Friday to retire. He was out for the pandemic, so my appointment kept getting canceled and now this! I hate losing him but I sure do understand wanting to step away to enjoy his retirement years. I now have a new doctor and luckily I got an appointment this week. Judging by his picture I don't think he'll practice for too many more years. We'll see how it goes. Have a good week. Stay well, my friend!
Awww, they have their Sunday fun and then a long nap. Adorable.
ReplyDeleteLove the Spark. So very true.
Love the poem. Thank you for being you too, J.

ReplyDeleteI grow catnip for Lucy and she LOVES it...rolls in it runs around and snoozes! Cheers! Darling photos and a great quote!
ReplyDeleteA lovely poem showing the sharing and caring sides of friendship. And I just love the facts that orange juice and candied orange peel have their own National Day - what a hoot! We have cat mint (catnip) in our herb garden but sadly no cat. My sister. used to have a giant rabbit who regularly ODd on cat mint - spark out and snored like a train!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I think I could easily go on alone, without my friends. Then I wake up and laugh and laugh and laugh. Thank you, Mimi, for being one of them!
ReplyDeleteAnother fun one, thanks Mimi :)
ReplyDeleteThere sure a lot of types of days. May the fourth be with you!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great poem - so true, Mimi. Good friends do all those things.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote and the kitties. They look like they are sleeping so soundly.
Oh your kitties are so precious ~ sweet photos ~ love 'em.
