There’s a walking/running/biking trail i drive past at least once a week that now has encouraging and amusing signs posted along it.
They intrigued me, so between jobs i managed to snap photos, and they remind me of things for which i am thankful. Not all of them are the clearest and best, but i am thankful i was able to get them at all.
A reminder to be thankful that we have plenty of soap, and clean water available. A mission organization we have supported when we can has had to raise money for hand sanitizing buckets for the villages in Haiti where that is not always available.
A reminder to be thankful that we can makes changes in our plans, and the world doesn’t stop because that happens.
A reminder to be thankful that we can make the right choices.
A reminder to be thankful for coffee, as if i need reminding!
A reminder to be thankful for the good things that are to come.
A reminder to be thankful for today, no matter what day it is, and to be thankful for a sense of humor.
A reminder to be thankful for the parts that still work, and again, for a sense of humor.
A reminder to be thankful for everyone we love, and that we can call or text or video chat with them.
A reminder to be thankful that there is always something to enjoy.
Alexa Skip to May (these were put up in early April) |
A reminder to be thankful for each day, and not skip one, even if the sign itself is funny.
Ten signs, ten grins, ten reminders of things for which i am thankful Have a fabulous Saturday!
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Kristi and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

ReplyDeleteLoved this post Mimi. I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday with family. Things are difficult sometimes, but this has cheered me. Not sure I want to go face them yet, probably need a little bit more time. So I hide in my room till I feel strong enough to walk down the stairs and greet my "lovelies"
Keep writing ...
Thank you for the smiles!
ReplyDeleteSo true! There is always something...some things...to enjoy...Much to be happy about...It is not all gloom and doom. And, we must not forget that! :)
ReplyDeleteTake care, messymimi. :)
Those really were some cute signs of the times!
ReplyDeleteYour community is a good one. Both the support they provide so that you can continue working and the lovely signs when one goes on a respite walk is warmth for the soul.

ReplyDeleteI love those signs. Now I feel like I need to go in search of my community. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the signs. Sorry to say, we don't have anything like that in our neighborhood. I like the "life happens coffee helps" sign and I agree it's vital for the morning. In the night, however, a little alcohol helps too. 😉
ReplyDeleteThose signs are great and they worked in perfectly for your TTOT. I wonder who put up the signs.
ReplyDeleteGreat signs. I think I would tell Alexa to skip to May though. I got your sweet thank you card today- thank you. XO
ReplyDeleteOops- I meant June, not May :)
