Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.
The Baby is Ms. G's name for her youngest cat (now 12 years old) that showed up at her house a week after she moved in. The Baby was the scrawniest kitten ever and covered in ringworm, and is now happy, healthy, and spoiled.
The Baby |
The Baby loves her rugs, and when i first started working there, like all the other cats, would hide from me. Eventually, she graced me with her presence, but as soon as i start cleaning her rugs, she runs to her mama to tattle on me. "Mom!" you can hear her meow, "she's messing with my rugs again!"
No toys, ready to be vacuumed. This is when she leaves to tattle. |
Rugs up, ready to vacuum the carpet. |
This past Wednesday, The Baby did a new trick. After i vacuumed her rugs and got them up on the back of the couch to vacuum the carpet under them, she went and sat on them, reminding me, i guess, of whose rugs i was messing with.
Sitting on her folded rugs while i vacuum. |
Of course, at the end, i put her rugs back, along with her toys and accoutrements.
All is well again. |

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!
Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:
1. I learned _________________the hard way.
2. Everyone should ___________________ at least once in their lives.
3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about _________.
4. I’ll never be too old to _________.
1. I learned how to be a mom the hard way, just like we all do, on the job!
2. Everyone should try a food they think they won't like at least once in their lives. After all, you never know.
3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about taxes. The papers we will need have started to trickle in, and i am trying to stay on top of it so we can file early.
4. I’ll never be too old to read fairy tales or believe in happily ever after.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug. ♥
The baby, a 12 yr old cat, makes us laugh. Cats are weird about "their stuff". They do let you know if they don't like you messing with it. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThe 12 year old baby reminds me of Lucy- when the vacuum comes out she leaves in a huff to another room! The baby even looks like Lucy! And your fill-ins are purrfect- especially trying new foods! I remember being encouraged to try avocados..... yum what was I thinking they were not good! Have a sweet and happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think Baby secretly appreciate you taking care of her rugs. Those were good fill-in answers too.

The Baby is so cute! And your methods of picking up toys and rugs looks a lot like mine when I clean my house, even including a kitty sitting on the rugs that have been picked up. In my case, though, it's a calico claiming the rugs. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I really like how you answered #4. I also will never tire of fairy tales and other fanciful stories. Have a wonderful week!
