A Birthday Ten Things of Thankful

This week, Thankful Day coincides with Sweetie and Brother-in-Law's birthday.  How old are they?  Old enough to know better, of course.  (That's what i say about anyone who is over 21, and they are 68.)

Lots of thankful stuff happened this week but i'll recap next time.  Meanwhile, i'm thankful:

Sweetie is still crazy after all these years.

The two of them have that weird twin thing that's fun to watch.  If you've ever been around twins, you know what i mean, and if not, it can't be described.  Just go hang out with twins and you'll get it.

They're really great musicians.

Sweetie's a great husband, and Brother-in-Law is, well, a brother-in-law, but it's okay, we're used to it (and he has a sense of humor so doesn't mind being gently teased).

Both are hard workers.  Brother-in-Law is still working full time, and Sweetie part time (but looking for a full time job in a music store, there's a possible one coming up, let's hope!)

Both have a vibrant spiritual life and love Jesus.

They are both very, very grateful to have vision, considering all the difficulties with their eyes, and i'm thankful, too, that they can still drive themselves where they want to go.

Now that i'm working so much, Sweetie cooks for himself!

Every day is an adventure.

Their birthday is a good excuse to make peanut butter and butterscotch crispy rice treats.

(Make your crispy rice treats as you usually would, with cereal and butter and marshmallows, adding 1/3 C peanut butter and a package of butterscotch chips as the marshmallows are melting.  It was one of their mom's many specialties.)
