"Why don't you go ask him?" little sister says.
"No," Mom says, a bit sharply, "you don't want to do that!"
"What can it hurt to ask?" son wants to know, as Mom answers, "You'll find out the hard way if you do."
Son heads out anyway, curiosity getting the better of him, and from out on the back porch, "Hey, Dad, what's on the grill tonight?"
From the barbecue, strains of what only the kindest of people would call singing, "Hot dogs, Armour hot dogs!"

ReplyDeleteI tried grilled hot dogs once and don't like them. We boil them here in Australia, then drain them off and put them in buns with sauce or mustard or both.
