Lookin' Good (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

On thing about my yearly check-up with Dr. BowTie is that he is thorough.  About two weeks before he sees me, i go in for blood work, vision and hearing test, EKG, and lots of stuff so he can review it with me and determine if i'm healthy or not.

He noted that my vision is getting worse (yes, i have cataracts, and no, they won't take them out yet).  He asked, "Do you wear glasses to drive?"

Yes, i have always worn driving glasses, since i took driver's ed at age 14.

He asked about reading glasses, and i noted that yes, i have those, too, when i need them.

Then he said, "You don't wear your glasses except to drive or read?"

My response was, i don't need them for anything else, i can see well enough not to run into the furniture.

Clothile done been wearin' de glasses so many year, Boudreaux almos' done fo'got what she look like wit'out dem, she allus grab dem firs' t'ing when she woked up an' not take dem off 'til bed.

Den one day she done takes off de glasses in de kitchen an' she put dem down, an' Boudreaux look at her, an' he smile, an' he say, "I done fo'git what you look like wit'out glasses, you look better wit'out dem!"

An' Clothile done say, "Mais, you look better wit'out my glasses, too!"
