(This is where the Ten Things of Thankful image should be, but Blogger will not let me post images right now, and i don't know why.)
It's the most wonderful time of the year for the thankfulness to continue, and it really does.
Ms. G's cats are becoming used to me cat-sitting. They come out for canned food and even when Ms. G is home, they'll come out to visit. It's a thankful thing when cats that used to hide UTB (under the bed) every time you walked in the door decide you aren't the enemy after all.
Tuesday i was thankful to have a "new" client. A neighbor has had me come once in so often to do some odd jobs for her, but now that Ms. RW is back to every two weeks, Ms. DJ wants me regularly on the opposite Tuesdays. She only needs me for the morning, too, which means Tuesday afternoons to schedule things that need doing.
One thing that was scheduled was the biopsy, and i am thankful it went off without a hitch.
They don't tell you until you are done with the procedure that you are now under restrictions on lifting and strenuous activities.
With those restrictions, i am thankful i was still able to get the shelter done Wednesday morning.
The rest of Wednesday with Ms. G was eventful and i'm thankful for another reason. She asked me to pick something up out in the garden, and she'd forgotten there was an old, nasty, rusty, sharp and pointy garden stake right in that area. It was thin enough that i didn't see it until i ran smack dab into it and it went into the skin on the side of temple. Just a bit in the other direction, and there would have been a real emergency, as it is, i'm thankful it just caused bleeding and a bit of a bruise.
Thursday's adventures at Ms. SE's house did not include enough laundry folding to make my back hurt, which was a very thankful thing.
Then on Friday i had my annual check-up with the doctor. The biopsy was negative for cancer or precancerous changes, the first thankful.
My health in general is good, another thankful.
My tetanus shot was due in about 6 months, so in light of Wednesday's run-in with a garden implement, it was given early and i'm thankful.
Finally, i am mildly anemic, and i'm thankful because it explains why i get so much more tired in the afternoons lately. Also, i'm thankful because it's easy to correct with a simple iron pill.
Then Friday afternoon i was thankful to be able to go see Ms. PA and we attended the Ladies' Circle meeting via Zoom.
Ms. GA and Mr. BA are out of town, so i'm thankful to be cat-sitting for them now, and i'm scheduled to do more for Ms. G later in the month. The busy season keeps me thankful, and busy!
My computer and my tablet are both giving me fits with battery issues at the same time, so i'm thankful i am able to compose and post this. If i disappear for a day or so (and i hope that won't happen), it's because i had no access to a working computer/tablet.
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

Gratz on the clean helath bill. Iron supplement is a thankful - think of all the spinach and parsley you had to eat if it was not invented ;)
ReplyDeleteGood to know that the cats are more friendly with you now. Thankful for good health report. Hope your computer and tablet issues get settled. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am very, very happy that you got a clean bill of health - and that the run in with the garden stakes was relatively minor.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself. Please.
That is good that you got a clean bill of health but the sound of that garden stake hitting you...it could have been worse but it sounds so scary! You work so hard, I hope you get enough rest too! Take care.x
ReplyDeleteSo many things for us to be thankful about.
ReplyDeleteGod bless always.
Those were all good and hooray for those kitties trusting you now. We're sure glad your health is doing good too.

ReplyDeleteYour health in general is good, Thank God Mimi. The more I read your blog, you are important to others. I hope that you have both shots and the booster.

Wonderful thankfuls. Glad your biopsy was negative. XO
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your biopsy was negative. I used to be anemic a lot so I take an iron pill with breakfast each morning, for about thirty years now.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to hear so much good news for you, including an accident which could have bee so much worse and wasn't. Perfect timing to get the tetanus shot.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to get the battery issues cleared up. I would really miss reading your TToT each week. Wishing you a great week ahead.
Fundamental Grat on the health things... very excellent.
ReplyDeleteLiked the expression: "Ms. DJ wants me regularly on the opposite Tuesdays."
Made me think of a local expression (which may very well be universal) about the positioning of things or objects as being "side by each"
I am thankful that I've read your post, which is full of love.
