Cars, Sinks and Getting It Done, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Just when you think you might have a serene week, you walk in to clean Carl's room.

That's the hall by the back door where his car contents are now.

"It was a terrible weekend!" he told me.  "The car died and I missed my favorite church service and I couldn't go anywhere!"

The car has an appointment with the mechanic today, and meanwhile, Ms. V insisted it had to be cleaned, washed and polished before it could go.

She believes mechanics will take better care of your car if they think you take excellent care of it.  Thus, all the stuff in the hall, and she spent the morning washing and waxing the car.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.  She came out to tell Carl, "I'm taking you to work, we're leaving in five minutes."

This was at 6:35am.  He has to be at work at 7am.  He never leaves before 7:55am.

His response, between bites of cereal?  "I haven't showered yet, it's way too early to leave."

Her eyes got big as saucers and i told her he never leaves this early, he eats, then showers, and heads out a few minutes before seven.

"That's cutting it too close, skip the shower we're leaving in five minutes!" she said and i came to the rescue and offered to drive him.

Ms. V hates, loathes and despises driving.  She latched on to that like a drowning man on a lifejacket.

Carl showered, i packed his lunch, he grabbed what he needed and we pulled into the parking lot at his MallMart 6:59 despite the fact he kept telling me i was driving too slowly.  That man/boy loves to go fast.

Then i took care of Ms. G's cats, then went back to finish at Carl's.

They'd hired an exterminator, so Ms. V had packed everything that was under every sink in the house into boxes which were all over the place.  This included two boxes in Carl's room, one for the kitchen sink and one for the bathroom sink.

His room didn't need the extra boxes.

That last box is one Ms. V pulled out with all the lightbulbs for Carl's room, as his track light bulbs also keep burning out.  He didn't need that box out, either.

Once i got back, i tackled it and still managed to get to my second client before noon.  I'm not so sure how, but it worked.

I also got Ms. V to find me a light bulb for his closet (she wanted him to change it, but we all know he’ll just live without a light in there indefinitely), and when she was digging for the car wax, she found a single shoe in the top of the hall closet.  She was wondering if she should throw it away, as a single shoe doesn’t do any good, when i told her to hold up, i thought it matched the single shoe that’s been in Carl’s closet for weeks.

Sure enough, i had kept it hoping the mate would show up.  There is no way to know what he was thinking and doing putting one shoe on the top shelf of a hall closet, but that’s one of the mysteries about Carl.

No mystery is what his room looks like when i leave.

I got done just as Mr. L left to pick him up from work, so i got it straight just in time for him to come back and start the process over.  Job security.

In honor of messy cars and fun with sinks (and what's under them), some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
