Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Grandma was talking about her weight yesterday.
"I've been eating so much!" she said. "For once, I've got an appetite, and I've even gained some weight. I have to watch out, I don't want to get fat!"
Please note, her current weight is about 105lbs/48kg, so she's hardly in any danger of gaining too much.
Boudreaux done walk in de house an' see Clothile settin' at de table an' shakin' her head, an' he ax, "What be de matter?"
An' she say, "I jes done come back from de doctor, I done had de annual check-up today, remember?"
"Dat be right, now I do," say Boudreaux. "So do some'pin be wrong you be shakin' you head 'bout?"
An' Clothile say, "Non, dere don' be ennyt'in' wrong, but maid! from now on, I be goin' ax de doctor give me my weight in de kilograms so de number soun' lower!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
Ms. D has an interesting way to store her hats. That's a reindeer statue under there.

Lots of lovely photos today - and butterflies are indeed challenging to capture (unless they deign to settle.
ReplyDeleteThree of the butterfly shots are really good. I like Ms JAI's new plant stand and I love that library room.
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly is incredible. One that does not venture up here so I appreciate your photos.
ReplyDeleteI might follow Clothile's example, it sounds much better! Love the flutterbyes!
ReplyDeleteIt won't make any difference Clothile. My doctor still knew my weight.

ReplyDeleteI agree, that's a great idea, kg for me too! Nice photos and that is such a gorgeous butterfly.
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures, especially the sky ones.
ReplyDeleteI hate the weight part of life. I have been up and down. Now I am in the middle. Gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...living in Canada, everything is measured in Metric. I just realized another advantage!
ReplyDeleteYou did well with the butterfly photos. Way better than I would have!
