Sounds Better (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandma was talking about her weight yesterday.

"I've been eating so much!" she said.  "For once, I've got an appetite, and I've even gained some weight.  I have to watch out, I don't want to get fat!"

Please note, her current weight is about 105lbs/48kg, so she's hardly in any danger of gaining too much.

Boudreaux done walk in de house an' see Clothile settin' at de table an' shakin' her head, an' he ax, "What be de matter?"

An' she say, "I jes done come back from de doctor, I done had de annual check-up today, remember?"

"Dat be right, now I do," say Boudreaux.  "So do some'pin be wrong you be shakin' you head 'bout?"

An' Clothile say, "Non, dere don' be ennyt'in' wrong, but maid! from now on, I be goin' ax de doctor give me my weight in de kilograms so de number soun' lower!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

Ms. D has an interesting way to store her hats.  That's a reindeer statue under there.

Ms. JAI has a lot of very nice things at her new place, and this caught my eye.

Last week at the ladies' meeting, i took a couple of pictures.

If i thought my attempts at a bee were awful (and they kind of were), my attempts at capturing photos of this butterfly were mostly worse.  I did crop in on a couple of the better shots.

Finally, a few sky photos.
