Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!

This week the theme is Dreams.

Dad told the teen, "You need to work,

don't just be a lazy slob!"

Being a lab rat for sleep studies

became the teen's dream job!

*******

"My dream car is a Ferrari,"

says the hot young CEO.

"To get out on the open road,

and see how fast she'll go."

"My dream car is a Tesla,"

says the science geek.

"To run on more clean energy

is the part of the life I seek."

"My dream car is an SUV,"

says the busy mom of three.

"Big enough for all of us and our stuff

to get where we need to be."

My dream car isn't so complicated,

i'll pull no punches and use no puns,

when it comes to the rubber meeting the road,

my dream car is the one that runs!
