Lewis, Lounging (Feline Friday) and Friendly Fill-Ins

 ***********************************

Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (who no longer blogs), and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.

He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.

Feline Friday is simple to join.  All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute).  Then add your link!

One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do.  So come and join us in Feline Friday.

What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!

Last time i was there, i opened the back door to Ms. GA's house and saw something i never expected to see -- a rat!  It was chomping on the cat food, and it scurried off as soon as i opened the door.  I thought it was quite a cheeky creature, to be up by this cat-run house, and then i noticed Lewis, lounging right where he had a perfect view of the little critter.

Lewis, sitting on the table, from where he'd ignored a rat a few feet away.

It seems the doggone thing knows these cats are well fed enough to leave him be!

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I never know _________.

2. I know I should _________, but I don't want to.

3. Is it strange that I enjoy _________?

4. _________ is my least favorite chore to do.

1. I never know   what a day may bring, but i know Who brings the day.

2. I know I should   get more exercise than i do,   but I don't want to.   (My doctor tells me the work i do is not formal exercise, and i need to do some, and he's right.)

3. Is it strange that I enjoy   vegan foods?  Maybe it isn't so strange in some places, but here, where everything revolves around the meat and seafood on your plate, it's really weird.

4. Vacuuming   is my least favorite chore to do,   and i do a lot of it.  When Sweetie helps me clean, he does the vacuuming (he doesn't mind it so much, but he doesn't like cleaning toilets, so i do that.)

  1. Rats are pretty smart and they can see when a cat is well fed enough to not care if he helps himself.

  2. Oh dear Lewis, you are supposed to keep the rodent population away! Next time make it look good even if you don't mean it.

I am a big fan of vegetarian food, and if it were not for cheese I would have turned vegan long ago - and may yet.

  6. I guess kitty has failed the hunting test! Around here, Mom hates cleaning and for her the worst is washing floors. Vacuuming isn't as bad as that.

  8. Lewis is such a good looking kitty and wise to not mess with the rat. Those were good fill-in answers too.

  9. Lewis, you need to keep that rat away from your food. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I think your work qualifies as exercise, you lift things and I consider vacuuming cardio. Of course, I should not give advice about exercise when I don't do it. XO
