It’s Not Easy Being Grown, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.  

I knew from checking the schedule the week before Carl has work every day this week, but things were eerily quiet when i arrived yesterday.

He was still showering, so i decamped to the laundry room to asses and to make sure i wasn't there if he came out of the shower without dressing first, which he sometimes does, especially if he doesn't know i'm there.

I found some work cut out for me.

When i did see him, the first thing he said was, "I had an oopsie.  Tissue.  Um..."

I took care of it, i told him.  It happens.

He continued to the topic of church.  He'd gone to a different church this weekend, and the pastor's topic was evangelism.

Carl's take away from that was, "It's not very comfortable."

Yep, it can be uncomfortable, sharing your faith.  These days, it can sadly also be dangerous.

As he headed to the sink to brush his teeth, i handed him an apron and he put it on, and when i'd turned around, he'd already discarded it.  Under ten seconds, a new record.  I stopped him and got him to put it back on.

His next topic was something about noises worms make.  I didn't  know they make noise, but he saw something which makes him think they do.  He says it sounds weird.  I'll pass on looking that one up.

"It's getting hard," he said.  What is? i asked.  "Getting together with friends on weekends.  You try to make plans...busy."

It's not easy being a grown-up, i noted.   Everybody has jobs and stuff to do.

He enjoyed every bite of his breakfast as long as he possibly could, then rushed for the door, stopping over and over to pick up and try to tidy.

Shoo! i told him.  Once i arrive, that's my job.

He shooed and i found myself not only picking tissue out of the washer, dryer, and clothes but finding it all over the floor, and even almost behind the furniture.

Carl has talent, you gotta admit.
