The Only Way I’ll Travel (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Seflies

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

We had a visitor yesterday while at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  One of Uncle P's dear friends came by while she was in town and she had a good visit and chat with Grandma.

This friend now lives in Florida and expressed the wish Grandma could come visit her, but Grandma no longer travels, of course.

Grand-mère Boudreaux done be visitin' wit' de frien' who come in town.  Dey have dem a long chat 'bout some de fun dey done had back in de day when Grand-mère went down de coast an' done cut a rug at all de dance places.

"If you come down ag'in, we goin' pass a good time an' go dance!" de frien' done say.

An' Grand-mère say, "Mais, cher, de only way I be's goin' to de coast ag'in be if'n my casket float down dere in de nex' flood!"

(What an almost 90-year-old I knew once said!)

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child (although she is on a blog break right now).

This week, new mother DeeDee and her four newborn babies want to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.   

This mama cat was dropped outside the shelter and started giving birth as soon as they got her inside.  They named her DeeDee, and she and her kittens are now in a foster home and doing well, although the second kitten pictured required a CPR and a couple of hours of massage stimulation to make it.  All are eating well and growing.

The four babies are waiting on names.
