Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.
He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.

All these little girls just had their spay surgery and were in various stages of sleeping it off or coming to and finally getting some grub.
Please if you have spare thoughts and prayers and good wishes for our shelter, we've had a panleukopenia outbreak and the shelter is closed to everyone, even volunteers, until they can get it under control.

ReplyDeleteSweet little ones recuperating. At least when they are young, it doesn't take long to heal from surgery. Hopefully the outbreak will clear up quickly and the shelter can get back to normal without any further incident. Mom is very impatient in traffic too.

In the spring Wake Co. Animal shelter had a horrible outbreak of some type of virus in the Dog section.
It was closed a month.

ReplyDeleteThose kitties always look strange to me with their little tongues sticking out. Someone told me that their tounge is actually longer than the mouth. No idea if it's true, but I just hope they don't have too much of a hangover after... And indeed, the best to your shelter to get rid of that!
