There's just something about a pet, isn't there.

Right now, it's Coda, Little Girl's dog.

No matter how tired i am when i get home from work, she can charm me into taking her for a good walk and a run through the field across the street.

It's just about impossible to say no to those puppy eyes when she begs for treats.

If we didn't have cats sleeping in our room already, i know she'd find a way to be in our bed with us.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for our puppy ride around the neighborhood with the windows rolled down -- there's so much to see and smell around here!

I do enjoy living this close to the sea,

In my lovely house on stilts.

I'm practically a mermaid, you know,

So we're right on the sand and silts.

When the tide goes out, I wade right in,

When it's in, I go further in still,

I feel most at home here at water's edge,

I don't want a big house on a hill.
