Eventful, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

It's the most wonderful time of the year for the thankfulness to continue, and it really does.

Ms. G's cats are becoming used to me cat-sitting.  They come out for canned food and even when Ms. G is home, they'll come out to visit.  It's a thankful thing when cats that used to hide UTB (under the bed) every time you walked in the door decide you aren't the enemy after all.

Tuesday i was thankful to have a "new" client.  A neighbor has had me come once in so often to do some odd jobs for her, but now that Ms. RW is back to every two weeks, Ms. DJ wants me regularly on the opposite Tuesdays.  She only needs me for the morning, too, which means Tuesday afternoons to schedule things that need doing.

One thing that was scheduled was the biopsy, and i am thankful it went off without a hitch.  

They don't tell you until you are done with the procedure that you are now under restrictions on lifting and strenuous activities.

With those restrictions, i am thankful i was still able to get the shelter done Wednesday morning.

The rest of Wednesday with Ms. G was eventful and i'm thankful for another reason.  She asked me to pick something up out in the garden, and she'd forgotten there was an old, nasty, rusty, sharp and pointy garden stake right in that area.  It was thin enough that i didn't see it until i ran smack dab into it and it went into the skin on the side of temple.  Just a bit in the other direction, and there would have been a real emergency, as it is, i'm thankful it just caused bleeding and a bit of a bruise.

Thursday's adventures at Ms. SE's house did not include enough laundry folding to make my back hurt, which was a very thankful thing.

Then on Friday i had my annual check-up with the doctor.  The biopsy was negative for cancer or precancerous changes, the first thankful.

My health in general is good, another thankful.

My tetanus shot was due in about 6 months, so in light of Wednesday's run-in with a garden implement, it was given early and i'm thankful.

Finally, i am mildly anemic, and i'm thankful because it explains why i get so much more tired in the afternoons lately.  Also, i'm thankful because it's easy to correct with a simple iron pill.

Then Friday afternoon i was thankful to be able to go see Ms. PA and we attended the Ladies' Circle meeting via Zoom.

Ms. GA and Mr. BA are out of town, so i'm thankful to be cat-sitting for them now, and i'm scheduled to do more for Ms. G later in the month.  The busy season keeps me thankful, and busy!

My computer and my tablet are both giving me fits with battery issues at the same time, so i'm thankful i am able to compose and post this.  If i disappear for a day or so (and i hope that won't happen), it's because i had no access to a working computer/tablet.
