Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday Grandma was talking about old TV shows and  how funny they were.  She still watches an old British comedy called Keeping Up Appearances.  We got to talking about "how long it's been since..."  Such a discussion almost always ends with a sigh.

Clothile come in an' see Boudreaux wit' hims phone an' he be gots de calculator up an' be shakin' hims head.

"What be de matter?" Clothile ax.

"I jes' been settin' an' figurin', an' you know what I done figure?  Dis be 2023, an' dis year be as far from 1971 as 1971 was from 1919, an' mais!  I t'inks I needs a go lie down now!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.      

Ms. JAI's new place has her stamp all over it, from the garage, where i would have recognized those items as hers right away, all the way to the pictures and the prayer closet she set up.
