Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Yesterday Grandma was talking about old TV shows and how funny they were. She still watches an old British comedy called Keeping Up Appearances. We got to talking about "how long it's been since..." Such a discussion almost always ends with a sigh.
Clothile come in an' see Boudreaux wit' hims phone an' he be gots de calculator up an' be shakin' hims head.
"What be de matter?" Clothile ax.
"I jes' been settin' an' figurin', an' you know what I done figure? Dis be 2023, an' dis year be as far from 1971 as 1971 was from 1919, an' mais! I t'inks I needs a go lie down now!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
Ms. JAI's new place has her stamp all over it, from the garage, where i would have recognized those items as hers right away, all the way to the pictures and the prayer closet she set up.
Then there are skyscapes, i'm catching up from weeks ago.

Ms Jai's new place is very nice, I love that set of drawers in picture #10, I see those sometimes in antique shops here. The skies are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love that Ms JAI has made her new place home and always like your skyscapes.
ReplyDeleteMs. JAI has the most beautiful furniture. And I love her peaceful prayer closet.
ReplyDeleteDelightful taste in furniture. It is great to make a place your own, and we cant stand sterile and too minimalistic arrangements. My, those sunsets are really striking. The ones with more white in especially so.
ReplyDeleteERin
Keeping Up Appearances, an all-time favourite of mine! A great Cajun joke, keep them coming! I like the look of Ms. JAI's 4-poster bed.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty awesome refrigerator for a garage!
ReplyDeleteEverything in the house sure looks nice, love those floors!
ReplyDeleteCute joke.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice new place.
Hi Mimi! (Marv waves wildly!) We have missed posting (and visiting our furrends - especially you)!
ReplyDeleteMom is still not 100%. She is having trouble with her eyes and the computer and she gets headaches and dizzy when she is on too long. Now that the spring flurry of yard work has slowed down, maybe we can get some blogging in (Yay! Feline Friday!)!
Gorgeous sky shots ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,
