Biscuits, Shoes, and Rice Plant Art, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

When i arrive at work, Carl seems to enjoy popping up off of his sleep chair in the living room and coming into his room to tell me that he's not getting up yet.  Yesterday was no exception.

He actually came in and said, "I want biscuits!" so i told him we could have biscuits, and then he said, "But first I get to sleep more!" then went back to his chair.

When he got up an hour later, he popped out with, "I want biscuits!" again, and again i told him there were biscuits to be had.  He then said, "Shower!" and went to take one.

He eventually warmed up some biscuits (among other things he had for breakfast).

His mother has a rule that if he doesn't put a lid on something (toothpaste, moisturizer, sunscreen, anti-gas pills, etc.) he can't keep whatever it is.

Somehow i don't think that's the lid she had in mind for the hand cream.

By the time he was getting dressed for work, i'd mostly cleared off the counter, including putting away 3 pair of shoes that were up there.   When he got out of the shower, he pulled out a pair of shoes, set them on the counter, and wandered off to eat.  Later, he came back, and pulled out another pair of shoes.

Two more pair out.

He wandered away for more to eat and to brush his teeth.  Then it was finally time to really put his shoes on.  He went and got another pair, put them on, and left.  Guess who got to put away the shoes again?

Every time he starts to do something, he starts it from the very beginning.  Job security.

Looking through old emails that Grandma sent, i ran across these pictures from 2010.  Farmers in Japan planted various varieties of rice to form the following art.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog break and is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon.   Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know or leave a poem in the comments on one of our posts.

This week the theme is Chia Pets.

It's a great time of the year,

A time for lots of fun,

For keeping on the lookout,

Chia Pet Hunting season has begun!

Time to see how many

Different Chias you can spot,

It's a most amusing pastime,

Because there are quite a lot.

You can find a unicorn chia,

A hedgehog or a pig,

Baby Yoda, Shrek and Bob Ross,

Pets both small and big.

Turn it into a contest,

A scavenger hunt of sorts,

Compete against your friends,

But remember to be good sports.

Then go buy a chia yourself,

Your favorite, bring it home,

This week i am hunting mine,

Trying to find a chia gnome!
