Thirsty (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins, and an Apology

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

Some of the kittens at the shelter get a little feisty in the night and when we go in on Wednesday morning to feed and water them, we find they've knocked the water bowl over and are very thirsty.

These three did that, and when i put in fresh water, all three, the two black and white tuxies and their solid black sister managed to all stick their heads into one water bowl at the same time and proceeded to drink for about two minutes straight:

The black kitten stuck her head under the other two, it makes her hard to see, but she is there.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. A benefit of ___________ is _______________.

2. Sometimes one needs to ______________________.

3. I’m most likely to become famous for ________.

4. ________ is a current trend that makes no sense to me.

1. A benefit of reading a lot is you can learn a lot, if you read good books.

2. Sometimes one needs to apologize and ask forgiveness (see below for an example).

3. I’m most likely to become famous for the most toilets scrubbed in the shortest span of time.  At least, i am trying to get faster.

4. Getting tattoos is a current trend that makes no sense to me.  As someone once said, and i cannot remember it exactly, but it was to the effect that I've never seen a human body that looked better because of a tattoo.

***********************************

Everyone, i owe you an apology.

Yesterday, i accidentally posted the history and other facts of the day for September 1 instead of August 1.  Yes, i went back and changed it and updated, and for those of you who noted birthdays or events, well, those are next month, and i am sorry, please forgive me.

Guess i need another vacation, i'm getting confused too often.

  1. They were very, very thirsty cats. And cute with it.

  2. Poor thirsty kittens. I hope they learn their lesson not to knock over the water bowl, but knowing kittens as well as I do, it's not likely.

I'm with you on books, apologies, and tattoos. On toilets, however, I only have one to scrub and I'm quite slow at doing that one 😉

  3. I think the kittens need a bigger bowl, something wide based and less likely to tip over.

  4. Those were three very thirsty kitties!
I know space is limited in a shelter, especially with three kittens, but a small old wheelbarrow tyre works well for stopping a bowl from being knocked over. Maybe it could just be put in at night when an upturned bowl wouldn't be noticed until the morning.

  5. Poor kitties, don't know how long they have been thirsting for water. So thirsty that they don't mind squeezing together to get to the water.

  6. Definitely need a bigger bowl. They are too cute!

  7. So apparently today is the day to be in Edinburgh.
    Duly noted. :-)

  8. LOL I bet it's quite comical seeing them all trying to get to the water at once

    I liked the Fill-Ins LOL @ No.4 :-)

    Have a tattoolesstastic weekend :-)

  9. I think my alien kitten came and drank all your 3 kittens water during the night! I think there may be a water shortage on his home world.

    Have a great weekend!

  10. Those are cute sippy kitties and your answers were great too. Hey, we often don't know what day it is so September 1st works for us, a bit closer to Christmas!

  11. Love the kitties. They will do it again, but that's a great shot.

Love your fill-ins. I'm with you on the tattoos. I've seen some pretty ones, but when you get old they aren't pretty anymore. I don't have any tattoos and I'm very happy about that.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  12. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I would never get a tattoo, but I admire when people get them in memory of a pet or loved one that has passed. I agree about reading :) Such cute kittens. Have a nice weekend! XO

  14. What adorable kitties! I used to work at a cat clinic that also boarded cats, and I remember finding many spilled water bowls and thirsty kitties in the morning. We used to try weighted bowls in hopes of keeping them from spilling, but even that rarely worked. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! You are so right about reading. It makes me sad when I think that a lot of people don't read anymore these days. Have a beautiful day!
