After last Saturday's storm, my Sweetie noticed a wire hanging almost to the ground in our back yard; it was obviously not the electric wire, which is much thicker and has a spiral to it and was firmly attached to the service connection sticking out of our roof.
A short investigation revealed it was the internet service wire, which meant a call to our service provider, not on my list of favorite chores.
I girded up the loins of my mind and plowed in, found the number to dial, argued with the machine that yes, i do need human help, had it tell me i can get a call back when an operator is available, chose to do that, and had it call me back only to put me on hold again!
Once i was finally speaking to a very nice person from probably halfway around the world, she understood the situation and transferred me to another department which hung up on me.
For my second attempt, i hit redial of the number which had called me back and bingo, the nice person who answered after only a minute on hold scheduled a service technician for Wednesday.
Yesterday (Wednesday) i managed to get home just as Mike-Next-Door was starting to mow the lawn and warned him not to hit the wire, and a few hours later the nice tech came and hung the wire back up where it belongs; now we just hope it stays.

While Good Fences Around the World seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird, i still enjoy looking for and posting interesting fences, so i will!
Geese photobombing a fence. Or maybe a fence photobombing the geese?

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day! This week's image and my poem:
Don't be a prig,
get a pet pig.
You two can slouch
right on your couch.
Each day a joy
with this big boy.
His happy squeal
has great appeal.
Join our crowd,
be piggy proud.

Angel Brian's Family of Brian's Home - Forever hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. It's time to share something for which i am thankful.
Today i am thankful about the story cited above. The nice technician guy came and got the wire which brings internet into our home hung back up properly. The storm last Saturday had it dangling. It still worked, but the slack had come loose and needed to be tacked back up, and he did it very quickly.
