Manners, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.  

As Annie gets bigger and talks more, we are trying to help her learn manners.  

We remind her to say "please" which, of course, comes out as "peas!" and "thank you," "tank oo!"

If she spills food and I comment we need to clean it, she very politely brings me the broom and dustpan.

Then came the day she wanted to be where i was standing and she simply tried to push me out of the way.

You do not push GG out of the way, i told her.  You ask GG nicely, "May I stand there?"  Ask GG nicely.

Her response?  "Nicey!"

Um.

Well.

Okay, i set myself up for this one and she did exactly as she was asked.

How about some children's funnies.

"Laura, you have to let me in on the joke."

"Hold on, let me catch my breath...hahahahahah...my 6-year-old daughter thinks I'm trying to teach you how to use scissors and glue over the phone, as in cut paper and paste it...hahahahaha!"

just like in A Christmas Story,

(For those not familiar with it, the move A Christmas Story includes as part of its plot the father of the family winning a lamp shaped like a lady's leg and wearing a fishnet stocking, quite racy for the movie's setting of the 1940's.)
