Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes.
It’s the time of year when dressing up is on everyones mind. We will have a costume party at church next Sunday when the children’s choir does their annual fall performance. My plan is to carry a fake tomahawk and a potato and tell people it’s the Ax of the Apostles, and a common tater (commentator) on the Ax of the Apostles.
Boudreaux done be working fo’ a locksmith when dey get a very late call on October 31 dat someone done lock hisse’f out o’ his car. Boudreaux don’ want to go when it be so close to quittin’ time, but when de boss tell Boudreaux it be at de Indian Hills Nudist Park, he done get out dere in record time.
When he get back, de boss ax him, “Well, Boudreaux, what it be like out dere?”
An’ in disgust, Boudreaux say, “Mais, de one time I be call out to de nudist park, an dey be havin’ dem a costume party!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It is now hosted by River at Drifting Through Life.
A few of the signs of the season (only the first one is at our house):

Another good one this week.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pumpkin carving! And lovely Halloween decorations. I always love seeing how (and which) people decorate for Halloween. It's got such a different vibe from Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteThose Halloween decorations are fun. They are not something we see here.
ReplyDeleteLittle Girl's pumpkin is a most excellent fox carving! Made me smile quite a bit since I'd just been at IMDb reading about Fox Mulder in The X-Files, played by David Duchovny.
ReplyDeleteOh that Ax of the Apostles is sooooooo clever!
ReplyDeleteI would have SO much trouble getting past the giant spider on the front lawn!
ReplyDeleteThat pumpkin is just the best. Someone did a great job on it.
ReplyDeleteBwahahahahahahaha on the joke. What luck.
ReplyDeleteLove all the decorations out this year. We don't have any since we don't decorate for anything anymore, but we sure enjoy what others do.
Have a blessed Sunday, my friend. ♥
Great photos for the season and love the Cajun joke!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Great pumpkin Mimi. I would like to see Boudreaux's Halloween outfit. See ya my friend.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Good luck with Halloween loved the photos
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Boudreaux never fails haha
Have a pumpkintastic week :-)
My condolences to Boudreaux. Maybe next time ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween to you and yours.
I've quite a few packets of lollies/candy here...and many blocks of chocolate. If no one comes a-knocking...they will be included in my parcels of Christmas gifts. So they won't go to waste.
ReplyDeleteI love your costume idea. :) These are all great decorations. I never decorate outside anymore because they get stolen or ruined in the wind.
