Poetry Monday is being hosted this week, in the absence of its founder, by Delores of Mumblings. This week's theme is Soup.
If you have the croup,
There's nothing like soup.
Got a nasty cold?
Go get soup bowled.
If it's the flu,
You know what to do.
Soup will always help,
No need to yelp.
And the best soup is our gumbo,
It's absolutely yumbo!

That is one beautiful cat.
ReplyDeleteLove the collect moments and memories rather than things philosophy, and I thoroughly enjoyed your poem.
Mimi,
ReplyDeleteExcellent poem! It ties in with my 4M theme this week, too. That kitty looks quite comfy in its little home. Spoiled Cats Day, eh? Yeah, you're right that's an everyday thing not just one day a year. lol Have a good week, my friend!
Such a cute kitty and she knows it too. The poem was terrific. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteOur neighborhood has a cat that is large and in charge. "Peanut" can be seen almost anywhere in the neighborhood. He will even slip into your garage to spend a cold winter night and then amble on his way the next morning. Everyone looks out for him and he seems to think that he richly deserves communal pampering.
ReplyDeleteAw, that kitty does know it. We all do.
ReplyDeleteLove your Spark. Spot on.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Awww Monday and week, my friend. ♥
that is one sweet kitty...looks very very sleepy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cat - amazing picture and good advice - you have it all covered today!
ReplyDeleteYumbo. that's a word I have never heard before - made up on the spot I expect and all the better for it!
ReplyDeleteExcellent spark and such a cute kitten.
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me that the beautiful kitty is being lulled to sleep on that hammock. Your advice is sage. Soup is yumbo, and I hope the poem doesn't directly apply to any sniffles on your end.
ReplyDeleteYumbo is only a word when rhymed with gumbo...well done.
ReplyDeleteAww! the kitty that definitely got the cream heheh!
ReplyDeleteThat cat certainly made me say "awww" :)
ReplyDeleteTerrific poem - I enjoyed it!
Delightful kitty!
ReplyDeleteNo yumbo here, but there will be some beef stew soon.
That is one fun poem. Join us next week when the theme provided by Jenny is DRIVING.
ReplyDeletePrecious, sweet kitty and great photo!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,

Love the cat who appears to be thinking "touch just one finger to this bed, I dare you!"
ReplyDeleteSoup is great when you are feeling unwell, as long as there is someone else to make it for you.
Good poem.
Endless car troubles and a messy person in your home...those are reasons for feeling a little blue, I think.
