"You know that old, abandoned metal shack behind the back forty that I said I'd find a use for? Well, Sam and I are going to use some of the metal to weld reinforcements for the lift we need when we're working on the car -- and he's going to use the opportunity to teach me welding, I knew buying that welding equipment at auction wasn't a waste!"
"Go for it!" she said with a smile as he headed upstairs for a shower.
"If it were anyone else's idea, I'd say it's an exercise in futility," she sighed under her breath after he left, then, as she shook her head, added, "and yet somehow he will pull it off."

ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely story. With my husband, I think it would end up just being a dream. We just don't have time, most of the time, to take on new skills. Not his fault. We just lead really busy lives.
