Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
While telling someone a bit about our Thanksgiving adventures, i and others noted that is was nice that #1 Son and Bigger Girl had each other for company on Thanksgiving Day, since they couldn’t make it to be with the whole family. It was certainly better than either of them being alone.
This is true, but it has not always been so. Like all brothers and sisters, there have been times in the past when they did not get along nearly as well as they do now.

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
From Thanksgiving, we have fuzzy photos of moving dogs, Uncle P’s latest bookcase, bags of oranges, and Grandpa supervising the picking.
While this is a swamp (‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, the A/C was running, ‘cause this is the South! — poem i read recently, and it is often true), and most of our trees do not turn colors, there are a few and they’ve been wonderful this year.
Pictures from work on Friday and Saturday for Ms. GA and Mr. BA.

While i weeded, Mr. BA built this support for the Pride of Barbados Tree. |

LOVE your very varied selection. And yes, there is a bookmark with your name on it. Please email me with your address and I will post it towards the end of next week.
ReplyDeleteThanx for sharing you photos. Love the trees; looks like it's hot and dry where you are.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I only find my vacuum once or twice a month. I have no dogs or kids .... that's my excuse. My favorite picture is the lone cat .. probably because my Sunday Selection featured a cat. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, three dogs. My daughter has only one dog and that cute canine is a lot to deal with. She took Abby, that's her name, to the vet and she just needed meds but that med cost $500. That's a lot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great first day of December Mimi. See ya.
Cruisin Paul

aka (A Creative Harbor)
I hope your Thanksgiving weekend was wonderful, messymimi...and I hope all good things come your way...for you and for your loved ones. :)
ReplyDeleteCute joke. And beautiful photos. I am glad you get some fall color.
ReplyDeleteI do like a well made bookcase. most things out here (in my budget range at least) are just thinly veneered MDF, not solid wood, and the shelves are supported only by tiny little pegs at either end so they can be adjusted in height as you need, but a full load of books has them bowing slightly in the middle.
ReplyDeleteToo fun today! I love that spark - I am a library fiend!
ReplyDeleteGod and Google know all!
ReplyDeleteWe strange Tolleys celebrate Pi(e) Day on March 14. (Get it? 3:14?) :)
