Lulu was not happy as Grandma and i prepared to run errands, she wouldn’t come out to say good-bye:
Later, she enjoyed a play session with Miss Eva:
Finally, she was just worn out:

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On the Alberta/Montana Border. She and Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey take turns providing a theme each week. Mother Owl/Charlotte and Merry Mae almost always participate, too. This weeks theme is Connections.
The loose connections
In my brain,
They keep me running,
What a pain!
Go out the door
Without my list
Get to the shop,
And clench my fist!
It’s fate that makes
Me leave behind
Whatever i need
Can’t bring it to mind.
To remember only after
All my energy does drain,
This loose connection
In my brain.

Love your poem, and unfortunately relate to it only too well.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great poem, I have similar loose connections myself, most recently waiting at the bus stop and only when the bus was in sight did I remember my bus pass was still on the table at home :(
ReplyDeleteI've been worn out all day...from the heat and humidity, so I've been very lazy, feeling no guilt whatsoever...watching the first day of the Australian Open (tennis).
ReplyDeleteI just leave my brain on the bedside table...that way I know where it is at all times! :)
I could have written that poem, at least regarding the contents, the form is better than mine. Well done.
ReplyDeleteA tired out pup is a good and happy pup! Great quote. Lots of folks lack vision, and it is important to have.
ReplyDeleteMimi,
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of those loose connection inside my brain, too. Cute poem!
Athletes, bookbinders, and diseased cattle?!?!
ReplyDeleteThis one is gonna be hard to top! ;-D
Awww, Lulu you are such a sweetie! I love the Helen Keller quote, what an amazing visionary.
ReplyDeleteDo wish we could have a dog! Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteAwww on Lulu. They do what they do when they want. It's the way of pups.
ReplyDeleteLove your Spark. I know some of those folks that can see but have no vision.
That loose connection is in my brain too.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug. ♥
Sweet fur persons and smart doggie ~ Great 'spark.' ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Moments to You,

Rest up for more play time Lulu! That Spark is so true!!!
ReplyDeleteSo THAT's what's wrong with my brain - it has loose connections - now it all makes sense! lol
ReplyDeleteWell done, Mimi :)
I'm glad we all got connected up with poetry.
ReplyDeleteHeehee! I think I have the same loose connection! Although I did go into a room the other day and remembered why I was there! Of course, it was the bathroom . . .
