Ten Things of Thankful, Shelter Update Edition

How about a happy, thankful update from the shelter?  Yep, that sounds just right for the start of the year.

It's still time to celebrate, and we don't leave out any holidays:

We celebrate Mardi Gras...

And Valentine's Day.

We had so many adoptions at the end of last year that we have a couple of colony rooms empty, and Cammie, who always wanted to remove my hand when i would open her cage to give her food or water, is in her own room now and much better behaved. 

Then there's being thankful for the sheer number of adoptions:

January is already off to a great start.

Our number board, it makes us smile.

Arancio is in a foster to adopt.  He's another of those "tetchy" cats that take a special person to come along before a home can be found.  We have high hopes for him.

There are newly organized closets:

The caretaking instructions are now clear and posted!

Volunteers are always appreciated:

This volunteer is a whiz with giving meds to  cats.

Sweetie loves to help.

Only one cat is now in the upper respiratory infection isolation room, and we have some more cleared from the ringworm isolation every day:

Three more kittens get the all clear.

And Buddy's girlfriend, TigerLily, has decided she wants to have a  home, so she's an office cat for a while:

She didn't want to hold still so the picture is not very good.

The shelter is doing great, and we are all glad.
