When They Grow (Six Sentence Story), Good Fences, Champ (Sammy’s Poetry Day), and Brian’s Thankful Thursday

***********************************

Is the gulf between us really all that deep, is it that wide a chasm?

Is there no understanding to grow up between us, that we cannot heal the breach?

Shall there always be this divide to keep us separate, in one world yet seeming two?

Will we never truly any full understanding of each other reach?

Oh, there shall be a recompense, a closing of the gap, and payback is so sweet.

It happens when the teens grow up and have their own child to teach!

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Gulf.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day This week's image and my poem:

Oh, but that was yummy!
Though my stomach’s like to bust
I never seem to get enough pie,
I love filling and the crust.

I always won the contest, so
The rules they did revamp,
And even though they took my fork,
I’m still pie eating champ!
