"This fruit salad is so good, what's this I'm tasting?"
"It's passion fruit, I've never had it before, either, and it's so good!"
"Can we get that back home?"
"I don't know, but I hope so; travel is so broadening, it makes me see there's so much more than just what's in our part of the world."
"Speaking of broadening, you have been trying a lot of new things, you might want to watch out and make sure it doesn't broaden your waist along with your mind."
"Watch it yourself, bub, or tropical vacation notwithstanding, the only passion you're going to get today will be that salad!"
Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Passion.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World. Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.
It's been a minute since i posted a white picket, my favorite.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day! This week's image and my poem:
Close your eyes,
Sleepy child,
Gently rock,
Meek and mild,
Dreamboat carries
Cares away,
Holds you 'til
Break of day.

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. It's time to share something for which i am thankful.
My thankful today is that protests here have stayed peaceful, and i pray they continue to stay that way if more are planned. My heart aches for those for whom this has not been the case, and i pray peace over those places.

I share your wish/longing for peace.
ReplyDeleteAnd love your six sentence story and poem.
Peace to the world - prayers.
ReplyDeleteIt must take ages to paint that fence.
God bless.
Sometimes having hope really does feel audacious, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat fence is pretty but I'm more taken with the pretty little house! :-)
White picket fences are great if they are well maintained. Sadly many need a new paint job. We would not want to paint such a fence, so we have chain link.
ReplyDeleteThis pandemic has broaden my waistline. Passion fruit salad sounds delicious. Yes, the world needs peace especially parts of the world where protests are taking place. Have a good day.
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDelete(I've been into quotes this week on my commentation), 'brevity is the soul of wit'
'cause I laughed... (for whatever reason, this week's prompt word has produced some not-so-light and-enjoyable Sixes)
Good 'un

That made me smile. Nice how you worked in a couple of different references to passion. That is one fruit I’ve never eaten. I don’t even know if they ever show up in the stores in our area.
ReplyDeleteWe all wish for peace that is for sure. This is a great post. Have a super day.
ReplyDeleteGood six. Passion fruit never crossed my mind! Also, Dr. Ruth's birthday. She made waves...good job this week. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI love the passion fruit story, too fun! That is definitely what a dream boat would look like, other than Keanu Reeves of course!
ReplyDeleteYes Bub you'd better watch your step if passion is on your radar. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteAs the poem. So precious.
I know you'll have a fabulous time on your beach vacation.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, my friend. ♥
