Her Only Hope (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Miss Eva, Uncle P's wife, loves to cook.

There are some things she makes that even my Sweetie will tear into, such as her potato, sausage and onion dish.

Then there are those things she cooks that, well, are not such a hit.

Grandpa freezes them in batches, then sneaks them into the cooler over the course of a couple of weeks for me to bring here, so we can dispose of them.

Aline, Boudreaux an' Clothile's fille (daughter) done be engage to get married, an Clothile done try to taught Aline to cook de bes' she knew how, but de fille jes' din't take to it too well.

Dey keep on tryin', an' one day, to build de confidence, Clothile done tell Aline, "I's goin' let you cook de supper tonight all by you'se'f."

Well, Aline she be in de kitchen fo' hours, an' fin'ly, she done got de fam'ly to set dem down to eat.  Dey give de t'anks, an' den dey tuck in.

Once dey all done gots dem a taste, Aline ax, "Well, what you t'ink?"

An' her frère (brother) Tee done say, "Mais, you bes' hope you know how to kiss better dan you cook!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

It's getting closer and closer to summer vacation time, so a few vacation flashback photos just feel right about now.
