How in the World, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Yesterday Carl's greeting was, "I need to finish tidying up!"

Since he will never finish tidying up (technically, none of us will while we are still alive and using stuff, it's an ongoing process), i told him it was fine, i'd take care of the rest.

"The rest" proved to be a lot (it was time to flip the mattress and he'd spilled soda down the entire front cabinet in his kitchenette, in addition to the usual).

Oh, and "I joined a fitness club where they have Zumba!" Carl proudly announced as he tried to dab sunscreen on his legs and got a good bit of it on his shorts.  The man loves to bust a move, and he's only allowed to use sunscreens that don't stain his clothes, for obvious reasons.

Sunscreen smeared inside a shirt.

Then he added, "And I can't find the remote."  Which is not surprising since he never looks under the bed.  That's my job every week.

Right where i expected it, behind the clothes, in pieces.

The first thing i noted when i got into his room was the garbage can, sans bag.  Peeking in, i saw the mess i expected and a wee bit more.

In the bin.  One drink as yet unspilled.

Carrying it gently into the kitchen where he was eating, we quietly discussed how cups full of liquid put in trash cans, especially cans without bags, makes a nasty surprise for those emptying the cans.  The can got a bath.

We've discussed his love/hate relationship with dental floss, it ends up all over.

Someone mentioned those little floss picks, wondering if they would help.  He knows about them and has a plethora.  They do not help.

Carl's mother has labeled boxes and bins to try to help him figure out where things belong.  This week, we have expanded our definition of mask.

She means those masks.

For the record, the sleep mask belongs on the night table by the bed.

Lately, i've not only had to figure out the "clean or dirty" game with clothes, i've had to decide, did he mean to throw it away, or did it just miss the floor (his favorite place to store dirty clothes).

Final determination: the boxers were dirty but untorn, they just missed the floor.

Also, i have to check the refrigerator.

Because the fridge is where kitchen towels should live.

Then there are the things that make me wonder, How in the world did he do that?

How did he hook those hangers together?

Toilet paper in the bathtub?

Speaking of how in the world did they do it:

Please note that all the pets depicted above were safely gotten out of their predicaments, once their people quit laughing and got the photo.  Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!

  1. Carl seems to be close to a full time job in himself.
I am glad that all the animals were extracted safely. I doubt the same is true of the cars.

  2. Those photos are hilarious! As for Carl, it is almost like he tries to do the weirdest things he can think of, but we know it is just the way he is. What a way to go through life.

  13. I wonder how many have worked for Carl before you came along.. I think no other person except you can take care of Carl and his things. You are doing a tremendous job picking up after Carl. Oh, I can't stop laughing at the pets and their predicament. No nasty dogs will disturb the cat sleeping in the center of the barb wires. Thank you for the laugh.

  14. I worry when I see pets stuck in unusual places, like the kitty in the screen door and the one in the jar. How do you get them out without hurting them?
A box for the masks seems like a good idea, but is it for new clean masks or the ones he takes off that need to be thrown away? And do they ever get mixed up? How would you know?

Yep. I think dental floss in all its incarnations is a no-no. Ohmyword! How did those vehicles (and animals) get into those particular configurations?! Thank you for saying that the animals were all safely removed. That would have haunted me!
