Give Me a Hit of That Gas Relief, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.  

As always, i got to Carl's and had to step in it right away.  First up, check the washer and dryer to see what he's been up to.

Paper towel residue.  Ugh.

What he's been up to is washing and drying his clothes with a paper towel in a pocket again, leaving a paper towel explosion in the dryer (and dregs of it in the washer, too, when i looked).

Once that was straight, it was off to strip his bed and get the first load ready when i noticed lights!

Wow!

All these weeks, the room has been rather dark, and the light bulbs have languished, unused in a drawer.

Six bulbs, all dead.

Now, it's nice and bright in there.

A few moments after i began stripping the bed, Carl came in his room from the big kitchen and said, "They got back from their trip to Serbia!"

Further inquiry turned up the fact that some members of his church had been on a mission trip to Serbia, and he was quite fascinated with their report and stories.

Then, mid-sentence, "Wait, are my snacks ready?"  Immediately after saying that, he ran for the bathroom, locked the door, and i heard the shower.  Taking this as a cue, i headed to the fridge to see what i could see.

There's food in there somewhere, i promise.

A mess, that's what i could see, all hidden.  Straightening of said mess resulted in snackage procured, but not packed as he had not yet gotten his cooler out of the car.  He got dressed and brought it in.

While we loaded his cooler, i spoke to him about not hanging up his clothes when they're dirty.  When your mother tells you to get your clothes off the floor, you don't have to hang them if they are dirty, you can put them in the laundry basket, i told him.

His response was, "Some of them are dirty?"

Oh, well, i tried.

After he'd left for work, i got laundry and cleaning going strong, and then realized i hadn't quite checked his clothes as well as i should have.  

He'd left a pen in a pocket and i'd missed it, and thank heaven the back of the ink cartridge didn't come off or we'd have had us a big mess.  As it stands, he had only one small stain on a shirt.

Whew!  Not too bad.

It was in a place that won't show, so i hung it up and he can still use it.

New lesson!  If the gas relief tablet bottle (or any other bottle, for that matter) is upside down on a shelf in the medicine cabinet, do not assume it's because it was empty.

The pills are on the shelf, they spilled when i picked up the then upside down bottle.

He might have just not remembered he has extra caps when he can't find the original.

Carl has continued to use and abuse the door of his bathroom cabinet, to the point where it finally was hanging by one hinge.  Ms. V and i did a removal project.

No door any more.
