Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Sweet littles at the shelter.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon. Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!
This week the theme is Candy Canes.
Christmas sees plenty of sweetness,
All sorts of desserts entertain,
Our tastebuds delight but there's nothing
Quite matching a good Candy Cane.
The minis tucked in purse or pocket
Are enjoyed while on the go,
Bigger ones decorate the tree,
Just hang up, no need for a bow.
They come in many flavors,
From fruit to bubble gum,
I have to admit my favorites are
Butterscotch and Butter Rum.
Now Christmas Day is finished
So saunter to a place of retail
And grab a last few to savor
'Cause today they go on sale!

Love the kittens. I have never warmed to candy canes. Which is probably just as well given my already very sweet tooth.
ReplyDeleteCute kittens. I find candy canes too sweet for my liking. Great candy cane poem.

I hope those wee ones get to go home soon. That was a good Spark and a cute poem too.
ReplyDeleteAdorable kittens. Great candy cane sparks and poem. I never had a butterscotch one, but now I want one. :) XO
ReplyDeleteThe Kittens are too cute and I want to be a candy cane! Our human Bro says that inside of that T-rex suit was really hot! He delivered Candy Canes to all the neighbors before he shovelled the side walk! Purrs Marv
ReplyDeleteThe kittens are adorable and I hope they are all adopted soon.
ReplyDeleteHere in Australia, some despicable person left seven kittens in a closed suitcase by a dumpster. They were rescued and found to be three, only three weeks old and four, about ten weeks old. The tiny ones are being dripper fed by an RSPCA person at her own home for round the clock monitoring, and the older ones are at the shelter doing well. Given our soaring temperatures, they were lucky to be found in time.
I hope those kitties find a new home soon. That would be a great way to start 2023 off! I got tickled with your candy cane meme. :D Here's to another year of fun filled friendship!
ReplyDeleteAwesome kitties- I love all of them! Your poem had me laughing out loud at the last line- reason being is yesterday the day after Christmas I went to the store thinking everyone else would be home, BUT no! They were all at the store filing shopping carts of Christmas stuff for next year! The aisles were filled to capacity! And all I wanted was to get more bird food and squirrel food!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
