Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

When cleaning a house and tending dogs at the same time, it's not always quiet and they are sometimes right there with you wondering what you're doing and trying to be up in it.  When they finally take a nap, the silence is golden, and it's especially cute when it's sisters snuggling.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl  and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Running.

Do you see this gray hair?

The body attached doesn't run.

If someone says, "Run for your life!"

the results will not be fun.

That's 'cause i'm going to stay here

and be the main distraction

while everyone else around me

does the running action.

If i ever do get a doggie

it better not a runner be,

and a fast and slippery puppy

could easily run from me.

I'll gladly run your errands,

as long as i'm in a car,

if i have to use my feet that fast

we're not going to get far.

I hope it's now made clear to you

i'll walk but i won't run,

if you want to be a marathoner,

good luck and you have fun!

Future themes are:

Apr. 22 running (today!)

Apr. 29 quiet

May 6 chest

May 13 event

May 20 pizza

May 27 politics

  4. Mom helps us get our energy out before breakfast so we can nap and hang out while she works. Those two seem like a happy pair snoozing together like that.
