Let Them Eat Cake (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Last week, Ms. C, a friend of Grandma and Grandpa, brought them one of her famous cakes.  How famous?  The last time she brought one, Grandpa ate only cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner one day.

Tee Boudreaux done gone to de birf-day party fo' one de boys in hims class.  Tee done has him a terrible sweet tooth, an' hims Mère, Clothile, done remin' him not to ax fo' more'n one piece.

When Tee done gots home, Clothile done ax, "Tee, did you 'member you manners?  I hope you din't ax for extra cake."

An' Tee say, "Mais, non, Mère!  I done tol' Ms. Marie dat dis was de bes' cake I ever done eat, an' I ax her fo' de receipt [recipe] so's you could make one jes' like it, an' she done give me two mo' pieces wit'out me havin' to ax!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

It's been a crazy week, just bits and bobs, and excuse the order, i'm too tired to fight with Google over it.

This week, Mrs. Muskogee Duck wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.

  17. I like the Cajun joke. I know some people who will eat as much cake as they can get, because it is once in a blue moon that cake comes to them.

Your Nature Friday's sky photos are great. The light shining through the clouds looks pretty.
