Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
On our walk yesterday, it seems Mr. Cal always thought the smells were better on the other side of the road from where we were walking, even though we catch both sides of the road as we go out and then come back.
Okay, he's saying, let me in and let's get my treat!

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Nice poems. I think Mr Cal has worked out that crossing the road many times means he's taking more steps, getting more exercise, so he really earns his treat at the end.
ReplyDeleteA variation on the grass always being greener on the other side of the fence.
ReplyDeleteThank you for yet another series of poems that have me smiling.
Dear Mimi,
ReplyDeleteIt's always such a delight to start my week with you Mondays post.
Your Mr. Cal has such a sweet expression, his eyes talk!
And your precious reminders and quotes, this is a little stop in my morning I cannot give up.
Have a lovely day and week
Daniela
Mr Cal is adorable, love the "where's my treat face" and Beau's treat is peanut butter on a gator toy with teeth to put it in.
ReplyDeleteSome things are not possible. Try putting the toothpaste back in the tube?
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Mimi.
Mr Cal look to be having a fun walk. Thank you for the Sparks on Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteMr. Cal knows what he's doing. It's the way of pups.
ReplyDeleteLove your Sparks. Spot on.
Love your take on possible. Loved the play on words.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

Dogs, then, are just like people---we are all always trying to look for something better on the other side.
ReplyDeleteMr. Cal is a cutie. Nice sparks and poem. XO
ReplyDeleteMr. Cal was sure enjoying his out n' about. Those were good Sparks and cute poems too.
ReplyDeleteDogs are so funny. :D I like your second poem. I prefer to be an optimist. The world looks better when you have hope.
ReplyDeleteMr. Cal must have caught a really enticing smell the first time that it just kept luring him back. We may have told you this before, but Misty can be very persistent on her walk. If Mom happens to go one way on a street and then turn around to head home, Misty refuses to walk on the same side of the street. She will just sit and wait until Mom crosses to the other side. She just HAS to check out ALL the peemail:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Timber
Java Bean: "Ayyy, you know what they say! The smells are always greener on the other side of the road!"
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "That is not actually what they say."
Java Bean: "Well it's what *I* say!"
Mr. Cal is a dog with character.
ReplyDeleteMr. Cal having fun again! Great poems, especially the time travel one!
ReplyDeleteMr. Cal is so sweet.
