Getting Those ZZZ’s (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections, and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandma's hospital bed is actually a hospital bed frame with one of those goodie special mattresses.  It's very thick and getting the sheets on it is not so easy, but it makes her more comfortable.  My Sweetie and i saved up for a similar mattress a few years ago and it does make a difference.

Thibodeaux done be tellin' Boudreaux 'bout him an' Marie buyin' dem de new, fancy mattress.  He say, "We done be sleepin' so good!  Boudreaux, you an' Clothile done needs to git one o' dem."

An' Boudreaux say, "Dat be's a lot o' money fo' a bed, mais, I t'ink befo' we spen' dat much, we need to sleep on it!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  Our friend River is hosting, and other participants often include Charlotte/Mother Owl, Andrew, and WiseWebWoman.

This week, Jack wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.  He hopes you are not tired of seeing him, he loves to pose and then get his special treat.

Today is World Animal Day!

Today is also St. Francis of Assisi's Day!  He is the Patron of animal welfare societies, animals, birds, ecologists, ecology, environment and environmentalists, families, lace makers/lace workers, merchants, needle workers, peace, tapestry workers, zoos; Italy, especially Assisi, as well as several other cities around the world; against dying alone, fire.

A special Blessing of the Animals Day is held at many Catholic Churches today, in honor of the Saint.

Thanks to Barb Kowalik and The Cat Blogosphere for the event badges.

  1. Hello, and Happy Sunday Selfies Day, Jack. A lovely pose too!
My, what an eclectic yet delightful garden area that house has. Too many wonderful individual things to comment on, but we love the colours and strange harmony, especially with the chickens and pigs may fly signage.
    Have a wonderful week!

  3. Jack is certainly looking handsome. I'm glad the new mattress is working out for Grandma. An interesting collection of things in the backyard of that house. But I certainly did see plenty of beautiful flowers too. Starting to miss ours up here. 45° this morning
