Happy Mother's Day! A Cajun Joke and some Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

A blessed and beautiful Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there!

Yesterday i did my part as a dutiful child and went to clean Grandma and Grandpa's house, since the housekeeper injured her back and didn't come this week.  Today as many of us as are able are doing our duty and going down there to take Grandma out for a Mother's Day lunch.  

The cleaning of the house is certainly a far cry from years ago, when they were always after us kids to clean our rooms.

Clothile done be ver' upset 'bout how Aline an' Tee be keepin' dere rooms.  

Boudreaux tell her, "Bein' de mère ain't all it crack up to be.  By de way, what you be wantin' fo' Mother Day?"

An' Clothile say, "Mais, I wants me de one t'ing I t'ink goin' be able to clean dem rooms, a two day rent of a bulldozer an' de lesson on how to use it!"
