Delores and Jenny are taking turns providing a theme for Poetry Monday, and i am trying my hand at participating.  This weeks theme is your favorite food.     

And now i wish to sing the praise

and i'll give the recipe

of my very favorite dish

avocado and mango delight.

Just chop ripe avocado

and chop ripe mango as well

mix them and top with a sprinkle of salt

and that's about all you do.

Because i can't rhyme avocado

or mango for that matter

this is free form poetry at its worst

but the dish is at its best

when served for breakfast

and can even have a touch of chia seed

or sesame seed on top.

Go make it for yourself

and see if you don't agree

that it's some kind of good.
