Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Every time i go shopping with Grandpa, the topic of social distance comes up. Grandma keeps her social distance by only leaving the house once a month to get her hair done, and once a week to go to mass. Before that, for about 2 months, she simply never left the house.
Boudreaux be talkin' to Aline an' Tee, an' tellin' dem, "Dis social distance don' be nothin' new. Mais! When I be de young man, I done here 'bout keepin' distance all de time, from de pères o' de girls I date, from de nun tellin' us not to stan' so close at de school dance, from de usher o' de movie house, from de officer knockin' on de car window when I be parkin' at de lake..."

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
Bits and bobs from the past couple of weeks:

Every time we go out to public places, we have to make sure we adhere to the requirement of social distancing. Sometimes, people do forget and get too close up for our comfort. Whenever we dine out, we have to limit the number of people joining us because not every eatery has big tables to accommodate more than 5 customers. I like the pretty flowers.

I am quite taken with Rainmaker Day - glad to have learned that. It's funny how weather can be so unpredictable and yet... Around here, you can count on snow sometime in the 4 days before and after Valentines Day. The wider window isn't as cool as a single day but it's still pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful flowers, powerful story. Yes God is good.
ReplyDeleteFunny joke and great blooms. Sending you hugs as you remember your baby. XO
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to your story. I believe we are shaped by our experiences and how we handle them and you are a beautiful example of that. After everything that has been sent to test you you have emerged as a bright light, a leader many of us could aspire to emulate. Thanks for the beauty you share, including these lovely flowers.
